WHAT IS MINEFURY?

A Minecraft Pokémon Server Network

MineFury is a free-to-play Minecraft Pokémon network running both the Pixelmon and Cobblemon mods on Minecraft Java 1.21.1. Catch Pokémon in open survival worlds, battle trainers and gyms, breed and trade, and hunt shinies with the catch combo system.

On top of the mods, the network runs its own content: catch combos that improve your shiny odds, daily boosted spawns, a server-wide World Boss, and custom menus that are much smoother to use than standard Minecraft UIs. Everything is documented in the wiki, and the modpack installs in about five minutes.

The network also has Prisons and Skyblock. Those two work with a regular Minecraft client, Java or Bedrock, so you can join them without installing anything.

GET A LAUNCHER

Install the Modrinth app (recommended) or CurseForge app. You need Minecraft: Java Edition.

INSTALL A MODPACK

Search for "MineFury" in your launcher, or use the links above. Pick Pixelmon or Cobblemon. Everything is pre-configured.

CONNECT

Hit Play, go to Multiplayer, and join play.minefury.com. You arrive in the hub, where you pick your server.

PICK A STARTER

Choose your first Pokémon, grab your starter kit, and head out. Use /rtp to explore, catch, and battle.

Frequently Asked Questions

IS MINEFURY FREE TO PLAY?

Yes. The store sells optional ranks and extras that support the server, but everything else is free to play.

PIXELMON OR COBBLEMON, WHICH SHOULD I PICK?

Whichever looks better to you. Pixelmon has the deepest feature set and classic models; Cobblemon has modern, Minecraft-styled models and animations. Most of MineFury's custom features exist on both sides (Adventure Mode is Pixelmon only for now).

WHAT SERVERS ARE THERE?

Pixelmon has four: Survival, Guilds, and the two Adventure Mode servers, Indigo and Emerald. Cobblemon has two: Gold and Blue. There are also Prisons and Skyblock, which you can join with a regular Minecraft client, Java or Bedrock. They all share the address play.minefury.com, and you pick a server after joining.

WHAT MINECRAFT VERSION DO I NEED?

Minecraft: Java Edition 1.21.1 for the Pixelmon and Cobblemon servers. You do not need to set anything up manually: the modpack installs the correct version, mod loader and mods for you. Prisons and Skyblock do not need the modpack.

CAN I PLAY ON BEDROCK?

Yes, on Prisons and Skyblock. In the Servers tab, add play.minefury.com with port 19132, then pick Prisons or Skyblock in the hub's server selector. The server guide has the details. The Pixelmon and Cobblemon servers are Java Edition only, since they need the modpack.

DO I HAVE TO INSTALL MODS BY HAND?

No. Install one of the modpacks through Modrinth or CurseForge and you are done. The full walkthrough is in the installation guide. Prisons and Skyblock need no mods at all.

CAN I PLAY WITH FRIENDS?

Yes. You can claim land together, trade, battle each other, and team up for group content like the World Boss.

HOW DO CATCH COMBOS WORK?

Catch the same species repeatedly without breaking the chain. As the combo climbs you earn better shiny odds, hidden ability chances, guaranteed perfect IVs and extra spawns. Catching a shiny ends the chain.
