COSMETICS

Hats, particles, name tags, nameplates and more, all in the /cosmetics wardrobe.

Cosmetics change how you look to other players without affecting gameplay. They are all managed from one menu, the Wardrobe, which opens with /cosmetics.

THE WARDROBE

The Wardrobe sorts cosmetics into four wings: Wearables, Effects, Identity and Cards. Pick a wing, then a department, and the rack shows every cosmetic in it, including the ones you have not unlocked yet. A mirror on the left shows your character in your current look. Filter the rack to All, Owned or Locked to see what you still need.

Click an owned cosmetic to equip it, and click it in the wearing list under the mirror to take it off. You can preview most cosmetics on a model in front of you for 30 seconds before you wear them.

WEARABLES

• Head · 24 hats, from beanies, top hats and wizard hats to a Royal Crown, a Halo, a Spartan Helmet and a Mimikyu Hood.
• Off Hand · 13 canes and props held in your off hand, such as the Wizard Staff, Energy Sword, Gravity Hammer and Witch's Broom.
• Back · 10 backpacks, including the Poké Ball Pack and Gengar Piggyback.
• Balloons · 11 balloons that float beside you on a lead, including the Hot Air Balloon and Drifloon Balloon.

Wearables are never real items. Your armor and off-hand item stay where they are, and other players see the cosmetic in their place.

EFFECTS

• Player Particles · 23 particle effects around you, from Stardust and Embers to wings such as Phoenix Wings, Seraph Wings and Dragon Wings.

IDENTITY

• Name Tags · a two-part tag shown under your name: pick one of 54 prefixes and one of 55 suffixes. /prefix opens this department directly.
• Nameplates · 15 decorative plates shown with your name above your head.
• Chat Colors · 14 colors for your chat messages, including gradients such as Rainbow, Fire and Ocean. Chat colors come with ranks: Champion unlocks chat colors and PixelGod adds Rainbow.
• Join and Leave Messages · 38 styles each for the message the server shows when you join or leave. If you have none selected, your join and leave are not announced.

CARDS

• Profile Themes and Borders · 28 themes and 16 borders for your player profile card (/profile).

HOW TO GET COSMETICS

Cosmetics are unlocked as rewards. Crates such as the Great Crate drop nameplates, name tags, join messages and profile themes, and other cosmetics come from events and rewards around the server. Chat colors come with ranks. Locked cosmetics still show in the rack, so you can see everything that exists.

Name tags and profile themes and borders are shared across the whole network. Wearables, particles and join and leave messages are unlocked separately on each server.
