MATCHES
8 RULES
Match Call
When your match is called you have 90 seconds to be online and ready, or you lose it. Any other battle you are in is ended.
Lead Pick
You have 30 seconds to pick your lead, or two leads in doubles. If time runs out, your registered order is used.
Time Limit
A battle ends 25 minutes after it starts, with warnings at 5 minutes and 1 minute left. The player with the most Pokémon left wins, then the one with the most HP left. If both are exactly level, it counts as a draw.

Recovery Moves
Each Pokémon can use recovery moves 3 times in a battle, counted across all of these moves. At the limit, its recovery moves are disabled for the rest of the battle.

DEX NUMBER
SPECIAL
Every Pokémon on your team must share at least one digit in its National Pokédex number. For example, if you build around 7, every Pokémon must have a 7 somewhere in its Dex number.
How Dex Number Works
- You choose the digit. The tournament doesn't set one, and it can be any digit from 0 to 9.
- The whole team has to share the same digit. Pikachu #25, Tyranitar #248, Scizor #212 and Infernape #392 all work, because each number has a 2.
- Two Pokémon matching isn't enough. Pikachu #25 and Tyranitar #248 share a 2, and Tyranitar and Gengar #94 share a 4, but no digit is on all three, so that team fails.
- Numbers have no leading zeros. Bulbasaur is #1, not #001, so it has no 0.
- A form uses its species' number, so Alolan Raichu is still #26.
- You can bring at most 2 legendary or mythical Pokémon, and MissingNo. is the only banned Pokémon.
- If your team fails, /tournament check lists its Dex numbers so you can see which ones don't match.
Dex Number Team Rules
- 1 to 6 Pokémon
- No eggs
- One of each species
- Evasion Clause: no Double Team or Minimize
- Evasion Ability Clause: no Sand Veil or Snow Cloak
- OHKO Clause: no Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill or Sheer Cold
- Moody Clause: no Moody ability
- Baton Pass Clause: no Baton Pass
- At most 2 Legendary or Mythical Pokémon
- Every Pokédex number shares a digit
